Athletic Booster Club

The Maryland School for the Deaf Athletic Booster Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, collaborates with the school and its athletic department in providing opportunities for student-athletes, team managers, and student volunteers to excel in both academics and athletics. Excellence in athletics means participating in sports or serving in various roles that support the school's athletic programs.

We believe in:

Offering students, families, and the community information and resources about the benefits of participation in school sports.
Promising students an optimal experience in sports participation or roles supporting our athletic program.
Developing partnerships between home, school, and athletics.
Supporting the school's athletic programs through fundraising efforts.

Interscholastic athletics are a cornerstone of the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD). Through organized sports, our student-athletes learn teamwork and embody values of discipline, integrity, and commitment. We believe that athletics enrich the school community and contribute significantly to the overall learning experience at MSD. The MSD Athletic Booster Club, Inc. supports our athletic programs by raising funds to cover essential expenses such as:

Awards and scholarships for end-of-year recognition
End-of-season celebrations
Facility maintenance and upgrades
Tournament and competition fees
Travel accommodations
