Out-of-State Travel
Participating in athletics at the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) offers student-athletes far more than just the thrill of competition. It opens doors to travel, discover new schools, and build meaningful connections with deaf and hard of hearing peers from across the country.
We value the importance of competing against both hearing and deaf and hard of hearing teams. Opportunities to engage with other deaf and hard of hearing student-athletes—whether at tournaments, classics, or invitationals—are a vital part of our students' cultural and personal development. These experiences not only enhance athletic skills, but also deepen students' sense of identity and strengthen their connection to the broader deaf community.
Below, you will find a list of all planned out-of-state trips for the 2025-26 school year. These events are designed to broaden our students' horizons, promote teamwork and camaraderie, and create lasting memories as they represent MSD in athletic events across the country.
