Parent/Guardian Guidelines for Middle School, Elementary, and Younger Spectators
Athletic events are an important part of the MSD community, offering opportunities for younger students and fans to cheer on their school teams and build school spirit. MSD is committed to ensuring that all athletic events take place in a safe and positive environment. To support this, parents/guardians must adhere to the following expectations when attending MSD athletic events with their children, ensuring a respectful and enjoyable experience for all.
Attendance and Supervision

>  Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian or be under the supervision of a designated parent/guardian. Students may not be dropped off at athletic events.

>  Parents/guardians (or another responsible adult) must remain at the event for its entire duration and are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Designated Spectator Areas

>  Football and Track and Field Facilities: Students and fans must remain in the designated spectator areas.

>  Benson Gym: Students and fans must remain in the bleacher seating area inside the gym and are not permitted to play or run in hallways or the lobby.

>  Denton Gym: Students and fans must remain in designated seating inside the gym and are not permitted to play or run in hallways or the lobby.

>  Kent-McCanner Gym: Students and fans must remain in designated seating inside the gym and are not permitted to play or run in hallways or the lobby.

Movement and Conduct

>  Elementary-aged students and younger must be accompanied by an adult when visiting concessions or restrooms.

>  Activities such as ball playing, tag, running, or general horseplay are not permitted at MSD athletic events.

Failure to comply with these expectations may result in the loss of attendance privileges for current and/or future athletic contests. Spectators who are asked to leave an event will not be issued a refund.

Please note that the school will not intervene in personal disputes between individuals or families during or after events, as these matters are considered private. However, if behavior violates school policies or disrupts the event, appropriate action will be taken by school staff or security.

These guidelines are in place to maintain campus safety, respect the experience of all spectators, and keep the focus on celebrating MSD student-athletes. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
